Twilight afterburner runs
























































Saturday 15th November was attempt number two by the Lightning Preservation Group to do some twilight afterburner runs. The afternoon started with some truly foul weather but thankfully improved a little! The sound and sheer brutal force of afterburning Avons has to be felt to be believed! and my mother Joan and I are both now believers!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to the LPG team for an experience we will never forget.

Hi Karl, great photos, I will do something a little later. I had written to the Bruntingthorpe people about linking their site to my blog with their photos but they didn't bother with a reply. The sound of an afterburner IS truly awesome, not heard avons, but imagine they are comparable.
